Experience Details
This expanded tour builds on the 15-mile flight and adds both natural wonders and rich pioneer history. In addition to Smithsonian Butte, you'll fly over the South Canaan Mountains and view remnants of an early-1900s logging cable system, once used to transport timber across otherwise impassable terrain.
You'll also pass over Petrified Sand Dune Canyon and Shunesburg Canyon, and see the historic Mail Drop, where Pony Express riders once dropped mail down a canyon wall—retrieved by settlers who hiked up from the village below. It's a rare aerial perspective on Zion's rugged landscape and its frontier past.
